I created my own skincare brand, ZENCIL, and I run it as CEO.
I have very sensitive skin. Every time I switched products, worry came before excitement: would this be too much for my skin?
Under hot studio lights and changeable weather on outdoor shoots, I wanted skin that stayed calm, but I couldn't find products I trusted enough to use every day. So I decided to make them myself: something I can use daily without a second thought, and happily recommend to the people I love.
Pure Beauty, Simply.
The name joins Zen, for stillness, with 슬 (seul), from 이슬, the Korean word for dew: the purest drop that forms overnight. The ending comes from “pencil”, so it's easy to say anywhere in the world, and like a pencil it keeps a daily record of your skin at its healthiest.
The first product
A gentle, low-irritation cleansing foam (180 ml) made with rice-derived ingredients and eight types of hyaluronic acid, for clear, glowing, hydrated skin.
